Comprehensive Exams
Regular dental checkups are essential for keeping your family’s smiles in excellent condition. During your comprehensive exam, Our dentist will assess the health of your teeth and gums.
With the help of our modern intra-oral camera, he can identify potential issues and show you what he sees in your mouth. In addition, Our dentist also provides a thorough cleaning, an oral cancer screening, and a periodontal evaluation.
With this complete assessment, Our dentist can uncover any issues before they become bigger, more expensive problems.
Once you fully understand our findings, we’ll sit down and create a customized treatment plan just for you. We will help you and your family start your journey to beautiful, healthy smiles.
Dental Hygiene
At Mountain Home Dentistry Co., we are committed to making our hygiene appointments a unique and pleasant experience for your family.
With our gentle and caring touch, we’ll carefully remove any plaque or tartar your regular brushing and flossing routine could not eliminate. These professional cleanings help with cavity prevention and keep your smile shining.
With your family’s best interest at heart, we’ll use this visit to provide you with excellent advice to improve your dental health. By following our team’s guidance, you’ll be able to take your hygiene routine to the next level. Remember, a clean smile is a healthy smile, and, in turn, a healthy smile creates a healthy body.
Periodontal Therapy
Your gums are the foundation of a healthy smile and can have a real impact on your overall wellness. Contact us if you notice common symptoms such as:
- Extreme tooth sensitivity
- Bleeding or inflamed gums
- Receding gums
These are common signs of periodontal (gum) disease.
At Mountain Home Dentistry Co., we help you maintain or restore your gum’s health through periodontal therapy. This treatment consists of regular hygiene and cleaning appointments.
In the early stages, our team can help you establish an effective hygiene routine at home. Then, if needed, we’ll provide you with a series of professional cleanings to help you get rid of all plaque and improve your gum health.
If your symptoms persist, we’ll offer you a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) to remove any issues from below the gum line.
Schedule your appointment today, and let us help you safeguard your overall health and prevent future problems.
Oral Cancer Screenings
We care for all our patients as if they were family. This outlook motivates us to always provide you with comprehensive and compassionate care at every turn.
One such way we do this is through screening for early signs of oral cancer. These exams allow for early diagnosis and allow you to start early treatment that’s less aggressive and, most importantly, has been shown to improve survival rates.
Our advanced oral cancer screenings consist of a visual and physical exam of the oral cavity and connected tissues. If we find any cause for concern, we’ll work alongside you and your primary physician to make a proper diagnosis.
Each patient is precious to us, so please rest assured we’ll be by your side at each step should oral cancer impact your life.
Remember, early detection is essential, so please schedule your screening today!

Dental Sealants
Brushing and flossing your teeth every day is vital to maintaining a healthy smile. We find the younger our patients are, the tougher some places can be to reach, and food or debris can become trapped. To help with this, your Mountain Home Dentist offers a simple and friendly solution: dental sealants!
Dental sealants consist of a thin plastic coating painted onto the teeth. This coating will fill in pits and fissures, making the tooth surface smooth. As a preventative measure, it is effective to stop food or debris from becoming stuck, which can lead to decay and eventually cavities.
Sealants are ideal for both children and adults. Our dentist will check how sealants are performing during each dental visit, making sure your smile stays in excellent shape.
Root Canals
When a tooth becomes severely damaged or infected, a root canal might be your best option to save it! Many people experience severe toothache due to the cavity reaching the nerve inside their tooth (pulp) and causing an infection.
To save your tooth and restore its function, Our dentist will gently remove the infected pulp and all the bacteria using root canal therapy. Then, he’ll fill the space with a composite resin, restoring your tooth’s strength and structure.
Trust in Our dentist’s experience and expertise to get rid of the infection and restore your tooth’s function. Through compassionate care, he’ll make this procedure as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
Mouthguards
Protecting your teeth while playing sports or during the night is vital.
At Mountain Home Dentistry Co., we are proud to offer two types of custom-made mouthguards to help you in your unique situation.
First, we offer our night guards. These appliances are designed to protect your teeth from grinding or clenching while you sleep. This common problem can cause jaw and bite issues, but our night guards can hold your jaw into place and prevent this issue.
Second, we offer our sports guards. Each guard is custom-made to fit your smile while not impairing your performance. The sports guard protects your teeth from trauma and injuries associated with several sports.
Both styles of mouthguards are created to meet your individual needs and produce a comfortable fit. Our dentist will team up with you to design the ideal appliance for you!
Sedation Dentistry
Have you ever felt anxious or scared while visiting the dentist? If so you are not alone, and what’s better, we are here to help. At our Mountain Home, we offer sedation dentistry to help our patients relax and feel comfortable during their visit. Say “goodbye” to all those fears and experience dentistry in a new way!
Our dentist in Mountain Home, ID, provides three sedation options with access to a surgery center and local anesthesiologist when needed. These options include:
- Inhaled Sedation: Also known as nitrous oxide (laughing gas), this sedation is inhaled through a nasal hood. You will remain awake but relaxed. After the procedure, the effects of this sedation wear off very quickly.
- Oral Sedation: With this type of sedation, you’ll be given some tablets that make you feel sleepy but still aware of your surroundings.
- Intravenous (IV): This is our strongest type of sedation. It doesn’t fully put you to sleep, but it does make you less aware of what is going on during your procedure. This type of sedation can only be administered by a certified dentist, like our very own Our dentist.
Your treatment plan will be tailor-made to your needs and goals. In the end, you’ll gain a beautiful, functional smile you’ll be proud to show off.
